I remember the “Guinda de Mayo.” I was little but I remember we were hiding under a bush, while the soldiers passed by following the other people. Later, I heard my parents say that they had killed many people, right below where we were. At dusk we left there and hid somewhere else. It was a very hard period, truly. I remember when we went to Chupamiel to hide in other peoples’ houses. We were fleeing. We couldn’t stay in one place because they were chasing us. And I was just a girl, you know, I didn’t even know why we were running.
