Well for example, before we lived in villages above Arcatao. Almost on the border with Honduras. These were places where no attention was paid to the living conditions, not even schooling, you know? Sometimes, we little kids had to bring tortillas to where we were receiving classes. Sometimes we would go and the teacher didn’t show up, how were we supposed to learn? Nothing was certain. And sometimes, the situation was also difficult because of poverty, and because we had to walk a long distance to school. Yes, all that. And because of work, sometimes your parents would ask you to help them with work. That’s another reason why one sometimes didn’t go to classes.
