When I became older, I was able to do things, to go out. When I was about 10 years old, maybe 11 or 12, our favorite thing was to go to the Lempa River. Every time it rained, the river would become turbid. That’s what they call it when the river gets muddy. We used to go down there to fish, in the lower part of the river, where some pools of water would form. We called them puddles. [Laughs] We used to go in there to fish, each one of us with our own little bag. We’d stick our hands into the holes, grab the fish, and we’d put them in the bag until it was full of fish.
