In La Virtud things were very difficult. The overcrowding, it was terrible. A lot of people were dying due to lack of hygiene. We didn’t have good services. We brought water from a ravine, and people had to relieve themselves everywhere. All that had its effect. I remember that... a bunch of people died every day. They passed by with one body, and then they passed by with another body to bury them. Sometimes even six or eight people died per day. Most of them were children and elderly people. That’s what I remember.
